Mr Bagga looked after our daughter who was diagnosed with a Craniopharyngioma brain tumour in 2021. The care Ivy received has been outstanding. Mr Bagga met with us a few weeks before Ivy’s major operation and explained everything to us and answered any questions we had, he really put our minds at rest. The surgery itself went really well and him and his colleagues were able to remove all of the mass which was amazing. What really struck me was how caring and companionate Mr Bagga was towards Ivy and us as parents as she was recovering afterwards. His bedside manners were perfect, he went above and beyond for us. I’ll never forget how one morning Ivy was having some complications and required regular blood tests, Mr Bagga pointed out to the nurses that Ivy still had a neck line in place so he urged them to take bloods from that rather than subject Ivy to regular and uncomfortable finger pricks. As a mum this meant a lot, it showed me just how much he cared. Mr Bagga is now a very good friend and he continues to care for Ivy and our family in a wonderful way!

Veejay saved my daughters life! He is the most personal, professional and expert practitioner I’ve ever met. His level of personal connection, genuine care and love is beyond anything we could have ever expected. Without him we could have never got through the pain of our daughters brain tumour treatment and recovery. Veejay is no longer just a doctor to us, he’s a member of our family.

I was an NHS patient under One Health and Mr Bagga was the Neurosurgeon allocated to me. He said that he would only offer me the operation if he could help improve my mobility. I felt completely comfortable with him from the outset and decided to go for it. I am 75 years old, and it was a leap of faith on my part, but I am so glad I decided to go ahead with Mr. Bagga. The surgery was done at Barlborough Hospital and everyone involved in my care were really professional and caring. I had complications and my stay had to be extended to 6 nights. However. Mr. Bagga attended me on the ward on three occasions and contacted me personally on my mobile to discuss my concerns. The nursing staff and I were amazed at his care and commitment to my wellbeing. I felt truly valued as a person and not just as another patient. I have had a lot of involvement with senior doctors and surgeons throughout my life, but have never been treated with so much compassion and respect. Mr. Bagga is unique in my experience and I cannot thank him enough.

Having been in pain and discomfort in both legs since September 2022 due to a bulging disc ,I was referred to Mr Bagga on 15th May 2023: His manner and ways of explaining the injury were brilliant, taking a lot of time explaining the pros and cons of having surgery. It goes without saying that the thought of back surgery is daunting ,however thanks to Mr Bagga explaining my prospects going forward (possible in continence increasing pain and taking strong drugs indefinitely) I had no hesitation in accepting Mr Baggas offer of surgery…I didn’t expect to be having surgery just 1 week later provided a pre op could be arranged for me.On the 22nd of May I attended the hospital for the operation with Mr Bagga once again taking time to outline the risks and benefits of the surgery, but thanks to his positive nature and demeanour I had no doubts in having the operation. Post operation Mr Bagga revealed that the injury was worse than the original MIR scan revealed and without doubt the operation was the correct thing to do. Having spent the night in the hospital Mr Bagga called in to see me even though he was working at another hospital. It’s now just 1week after the surgery with no pain in either leg, all I can say to Mr Bagga is thank you so so much. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
